The installation documentation now consists of two guides:
* Part I: Planning and Preparation
This guide is now specific to your operating system (OS).
Therefore, you no longer require the separate guide SAP Software on UNIX: OS-Dependencies, which we used to provide in the past.
* Part II: Installation and Post-Installation Activities
This guide is also now OS-specific and provides all necessary information about installing your system with SAPinst and the post-installation steps required to successfully complete your installation.
For each database there is a separate web page where you can easily download the required guides. See the links below.
How to Proceed
1. Choose your database:
* Oracle
* MS SQL Server
* IBM DB2 Universal Database for UNIX and Windows
* MySQL MaxDB
* IBM DB2 Universal Database for z/OS
* IBM DB2 Universal Database for iSeries
* IBM Informix
2. On the database-specific web page, download the OS-specific Planning and Preparation Guide.
When you have completed planning and preparation you can proceed to the actual installation.
3. On the database-specific web page, download the OS-specific Installation and Post-Installation Activities Guide.
