Reportedly there are lobbyists moving in and none moving out this week. This week being when a party ois sworn in that claims that they will get rid of lobbyists.

The Democrats will do nothing about lobbyists. They are moving in because they know they'll have plenty of work ahead of them with the Democrats. The Dems got elected on all talk, but no intention to follow through.

Nothing illegal about lobbying. Its the type and amount that can be illegal. You are far less apt to vote a mans way if hes bought you a pizza than a palace in Tuscany. New people come in with a new administration, the old working friendships may not stay now that another party is running some of the show.

lobby reform and getting rid of lobbyists are two totally different things. adding bureaucracy is the goal not stopping lobbyist. Pelosis "oversight" of years of lobby trip paper work is a good example that everybody in govt wants it but the processes that take place afterwords are what they will change to "save face" from clear perks they will never give up.

Since you have not sited any sources, I would presume that you are making this up.
Actually, the Democrats never claimed that they will get rid of lobbyists. They claimed that they would institute ethics reforms. Since the session just started, it is too early to tell just what those reforms will be and how effective they will be. From what they are proposing they are already making a good start.

Yes, the Democrats will have a hard time keeping all their promises.
There are downsides to being the party in power as well as advantages!
To those of us who watch politics like football games, it will be interesting how Nancy Pelosi "quarterbacks" this congressional team.

Because they lied. The Democrats said they are going to get rid of lobbyists. It aint going to happen. The Democrats know it... the lobbyists know it...
There is too much money and political clout to be made.
