Yes! Theres a point to write LOL...Because we laugh out Loud and thats the way to show the other person that we are in fact laughing out loud.

I pretty much use it when there is nothing else to say and I want to get the other person talking. But if it is actually something kinda funny, I usually just smirk a little and type LOL. Ha..

Nah, I don't really laugh out loud. It's just the easiest thing to put, and it's like it's an automatic type from my fingers. All I do is maybe laugh a little inside, but you can't really tell if you looked at me. But there are times when I DO laugh out loud and that's when I put LMFAO or LMAO.
