Yes I would, cause I could do a pay per view to watch me die. That way I could leave my wife with enough money so I wouldn't worry about her where ever I end up being.

I would like to know because if I was to die fairly young I could make the most of my life beforehand rather than holding back and expecting that I'm going to live til old age. For instance, I could sell my house and use the money to enjoy myself a bit, perhaps to help friends and family out ( would be easier then sorting it through a will ).

The obvious draw back of knowing is that you would probably be getting afraid and nervous as you got closer to the day.

There would be advantages and disadvantages, but I think I would not want to know.

The only advantage I can think of would be I would have a chance to get my PayPal account closed and the balance moved somewhere that people will be able to get to it. Not sure about how PayPal handles accounts when the owner dies, but nobody knows my password and it would be safer to move it all to my bank account, I think.

Really though, I do not want to know when I am going to die... there is no point in worrying about it if I cannot change it.

No. Like the birth of a child, I like surprises. Makes life interesting. Since you never know when you are going to depart the mortal coil, it becomes an incentive to behave and play nice. Besides, who wants to be depressed for the remainder of your life, that huge red check mark on the calendar looming out at you everyday while you eat your cornflakes. Forget it, just live. Death will take care of itself, in it's own good time.

yes I would- because then I could try to cram all the things into my life that I would like to do and I could let all the people I care about know that, get my affairs in order, take out a huge loan and do all the things I only ever dreamed of doingmake sure I was showered and looking good on that day and then ...just die ...happy!

I understand this is a theoretical question causing one to Ponder their lack of motives they need to find true happiness...
BUT knowing the exact date would mean that you couldn't die before that date... I would make tons of money being the world's first "invincible man".
Then I'd do something meaningful like the others suggest.

No. Because I am already a habitual procrastinator. If i knew that date I would not get anything done until the day before my death.

Yes. I prepare better when I know the deadline and then I could make sure everything I ever wanted to do was done by that time. Although I make sure everyone I love knows it because you never know when our time or their time is up.

No, I would be really uptight knowing that it was going to be that day. It would just drive me crazy. I wouldn't be able to enjoy anything because I would be thinking about how it was coming up and stuff. It would just not be fun at all.
