Since they weren't intelligent enough to fire Matt Millen, they'll probably take the 4th wide receiver from Outer Mongolia State.

Hey liljonblaze69...where the hell did you get that from
LaRon Landry WR Ohio State???????

LaRon Landry is a SAFETY and plays for LSU

Anyway I can't shake the suspicion that the Raiders are going to take Calvin Johnson, but if not the Lions might...if they don't, the Cardinals aren't far behind...they like their first round WRs too

Johnson will probably be the only WR taken in the first round...unless Jarrett out of USC declares...then he'll probably go first round too

Why would they take another wide reciever? They have taken one for the last three or four years in the first round and none has worked out. The Lions need much more than a wide reciever to become competitive.

If they were to select another WR, Calvin Johnson is as close to a sure thing as I've seen in a WR since Roy Williams from Texas or Torry Holt out of NC State. It's not a need area for them though. They would be best served to pick a JaMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn, whoever isnt picked with the #1 pick.

Assuming Matt Millen follows his own trend, he will have to take Calvin Johnson, by far the best available. Hopefully for the lions, Millen wises up and takes Allen Branch DT, Mich to shore up the defensive line or the all american tackles from Wisconsin/Michigan, cant remember their names off the top of my head.

But Calvin Johnson is miles above the rest

Why wide reciever? Most folks would project the lions taking a qb, probably Quinn.

they haven't taken one since the '05 draft. They took Ernie Sims out of Florida State last year... and he's a LB. They have smartened up and probally will pick someone to beef up there defense.
