My significant other has had a bad patch for a while. I am hoping that it will change for him soon. Any input?

Saturn moves into your 12th house in September, so any secrets you've been hiding could be found out, anything you've been putting off may demand your attention, any past unresolved issues may require resoltuion. If you don't have a lot of baggage, and are progressing along your life path as you should, then that won't be so bad.
In the meantime, work & career type things may require a lot of your attention. There's a lot of energy in the local travel, relationships with neighbors and siblings (3rd house) with transforming Pluto and Lucky Jupiter in there. You might want to see if you can tap into that.
