How did teaching English in a foreign country enhance your career in the States?

Are you American? Well I don't know if you can teach English in other countries, before you go through some sort of course, becauase(no offence), American written English isn't proper.

depends on what you want to do in the States. i know a lot of people teach in foreign countries so that they can learn the foreign language well, and get familiar with the culture. when they come back, they work as regional/localization specialists etc., or teach foreign language in the States.
