I think Houston's a better place because Just because it's in Texas and L.A is in California, You can't judge the city. I think it's better by the Zoo, The Aquarium, The Galleria, Shopping Malls, Museum, And The Beaches Near Galveston too! But in Houston They're's lot's of Traffic too. In Los Angeles, There's Crimes, Traffic, And Cheap Prostitutes. But The Attractions There is really Nice for the kids.

Well, since I've been to all four cities, this is my impression of each:

LA - earthquakes, absurd home prices, mudslides
NYC - WAY expensive, winters can be brutal, summers can be beastly
Miami - hurricanes
Las Vegas - half a million tourists a day

I lived in LA for six weeks and HATED it. I grew up an hour from NYC, and I'm back there now and can't wait to leave. I found Miami a cool place to visit, couldn't live there. I'm moving to Vegas.

LA. I have lived here all my life and love it. If you want tourists, there are plenty of areas where tourists are like ants. In addition, the weather is excellent, it's not a retirement community, and there is plenty to do besides gamble and eat at a buffet (kidding about the last one!). If you ski, love the beach, enjoy the desert sun, like metropolitan areas, etc. LA has it all within short drives.

Los Angeles for sure !! Everything from sky rise flats to homes, to apartment living. The city life, the beach life , the desert life, the mountains and forest all very conviently located near you no matter where you live! So Cal is very entertaining with hot night life, shopping and more! Many job options. California in general is a very very nice place to live in general, along with many different climates in one state its great and the opportunitys are endless! I wouldnt leave it for the world , ive lived in cali all my life :]

I have lived all over the world. Take my advice CALIFORNIA is the only place. Lived in Punta Gorda Florida , was wiped out by a hurricane named Charlie, it was a blessing in disguise I HATED FLORIDA, its a bug infested , hurricane ravaged, humid reptile rampant swamp where workers are routinely paid minimum wage, stay away unless you are a Doctor or a geriatric worker.
My wife retired 21 years ago from super markets in Cal , was making 17.50 an hour , in Florida now the same job pays 5.50 an hour. you do the math.

Los Angeles rocks! but the traffic sucks and everybodies always in a hurry.

New York is cold, crowded, expensive,

Las Vegas is hot in the summer and ugly poop brown during the day. But its got a great night life. And contray to popular belief prostitution is legal within the city.

Miami, well despite the hurricanes miami is amazing. Beaches, beautiful people, laid back lifestyle, great nightlife, not overcrowded, cheaper than L.A. or N.Y. and great weather. what could be better.
