To be called ugly, or to be called stupid?

I would be more effected by being called ugly.
I am completely confident in my intelligence, so if someone said I was stupid, it would probably be because they are in fact not very bright or because they are just plain mean..
But everyone has their doubts when it comes to how they look... unless they spend 3 hours a day and $100 a month making sure they look gorgeous.
I would be sad to be called ugly because I am not always confident I am pretty.

Being called ugly, because there has to be some truth to it if they say it otherwise they know it wouldin't effect you. But if your called stupid, it just means that your ideas even though they could be correct are just different from the insulters.

Hmm... If the person knows you very well, then being called stupid would hurt the most because they would know you well enough for it to be truthful. If you barely know someone and they call you ugly, it means they have no other attribute to go off of.

well its the question of either beauty or brains...both aspects can get you far (as in your carrear) however, if someone calls you ugly: one, they are probably jelous or two, you did something wrong or you are very ugly.....when someone calls you stupid, it is because
a. you did something stupid/ you cant figure out something easy...
b. u are stupid...you said something stupid
c. they are jelous
it would be more hurtful to be called stupid since they are actually insulting u

Stupid. Cause being stupid would render you as a useless person, while the ugly person can still have a chance to change build his life.

Ugly. Because it makes you feel self-conscience. Stupid I don't mind that much usually. But it is only that persons opinion. It doesn't mean everybody thinks that. Happy New Year!

Ugly. If I'm stupid, with study and experience, I can cure stupidity. There's nothing to cure ugliness without drastic, undesirable, unsure methods.

They both are hurtful but I would say to be called ugly, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I really do not being that I would probably turn towards that person and tell them to go #@*+ them self, after hearing them say either of those comments.
The way I see it is opinions are like assholes everybody has one. You just can't go around worrying what all the village morons are saying about you.
