Where is 'here'? The U.S.?
If so then the answer is simple.
You priced yourselves out of the market. The world has changed, and is changing. It's called globalization. I suggest you look it up and do some reading.

If we truly had a labor shortage then there wouldn't be on unemployment. It's more about people not being able to get the job they want where they are located, that pays a decent wage with benefits of course.

I didn't know there was a shortage of labor here. I'm sure there are a lot of people that would disagree with you, especially the ones who have lost there jobs due to companies sending work out because it is cheaper.

We don't have shortage of Labor here.
The problem is the following:
Rent is extremely high, as well as gas prices. Companies want to make the more money they can, we have people who can do the job, but they rather pay people from India or other countries because they would do it for a miserable price.
Companies don't want to pay us good, and they will find better ways to save.
Is just ridiculous.
That's why jobs are being sent overseas. labor is cheaper.
F*** Industries. they don`t want to pay what we are worth.
HS diploma..english/spanish speaker...same pay as a farmer picking corn.

All the good jobs (skilled jobs) are being outsources, the computer jobs, factory jobs, many legal jobs, etc. The only shortage of labor we have here are unskilled jobs, the ones they say that Americans won't take like landscaping and picking fruit.

We don't have a labor shortage here. Areas with low unemployment may not be the most desireable to live in.

Umm we are in serious danger of losing 1.2million IT jobs to foreigners in the next decade.
We have the skilled workers, I have been doing IT for 12 years.
Not only will this cause wages to go down but it could altogether cause me to lose my job as do not hold a degree.
But that does not mean i cannot do the work!
