Does your state recognize common law marriages? If so go to an attorney to have documents drawn up to present to the insurance company.

Benjamin, if she is good enough to introduce as your common law wife, then why not marry her and make it legal. She needs benefits such as insurance, sharing in a home, filing income tax together, etc.
