I live in the area of Enfield. My credit is bad and want to start 2007 off with clearing my debts and buying a new flat. However, I don't want to make an official footprint application over the net etc. Is there someone you know well who is legitimate and you can recommend?

Are you mad as a brush or what. You want to clear your debts by going to a doorstep loan lender.
Or is it that you know a good way to disappear from the face of the earth with the loan money in your pocket.
Get real, work hard ,spend little and pay of your loans as soon as possible.
Get advice from cab to see best loans to pay off first possibly highest interest rate.
By taking a loan remember you are funding someone else with your money paying interest.Do you really think they need your money more than you !
I always put money aside to pay towards my mortgage to pay it off quicker. I paid it after 9 years instead of 25 therefore I have saved paying interest to some building society for 16 years . That money I have used for myself , and this let me retire at 43.
I highly recommend this strategy

Provident personal credit but the interest is very high say you borrow £250.00 you would pay back £412.50 over 55 weeks at £7.50 a week they also do a pre loaded debit card with £300.00 on it which would cost a bit more or books of £50.00 vouchers which is the cheapest option if you don't need actual cash good luck

Provident's ok but high interest....but doorstep lenders will be high....there's also Greenwood...But as a new customer they only start you off at £100 then work up over the months but only to £1000.

Not sure if you are in Enfield, Connecticut or Enfield, England? If you're in Connecticut; contact Bank of America at 595 Main Street in Somers...860-272-1105. Even though your credit is bad, they maybe able to help you if you're working. If you're in England, sorry I have no idea.
Good luck to you.

Any doorstep lender will charge exhorbitent interest on the loans they give. Provident are probably the best known and most reputable of these.
