Theoretically, looks like around 400 kilometers per hour !
Though various sources have different values, assuming a speed of 350 feet per sec to be the speed at which electric messages travel in human nerves, and assuming each step (of the running process) requires just one such signal (though unlikely), and assuming the signals have to travel 5 feet (from brain to feet), we should be able to send the signals 350 / 7 = 70 times per sec. Giving up 70 steps per minute. Assuming each step is 5 feet, we get a sprint of 350 feet per sec. Or, roughly, 400 kms per hour. At these speeds, resistance due to air plays a major role, so, probably our fastest speeds cannot exceed that of bullet or such trains.

Well, you have to just take my word for it, but I think I broke the world record twice. Once when I picked up a baby wild pig on a wildlife refuge and all the herd came out of the bushes and chased me and the other time I was mowing and kicked a empty drum out of the path and a hive of hornets came out of the ground, exit stage right! Both times my knees were tagging my chin and my heels were kicking my rear end!! I think I would have gotten a speeding ticket in a school zone!
