How can I prevent soap scum building up on my glasses from dishwasher detergent? Also, how can I get rid of the buildup already on the glasses?

vinegar helps clean up those smudges that are probably from the water you are using. Also there is oil you can add to your dishwasher that helps if the water is hard and prevents this scum from building up

The best way to prevent soap scum buildup on your glasses is to run them under hot water for about ten seconds and then run them under cold water for about 10 seconds. Hold them up to the light and wipe gently with a tissue only until they are clear. No need to purchase expensive eyeglass cleaners. This way is very efffective and leaves no residue. Good Luck!

Had wash them in vinegar or soak them in Ammonia be careful though very strong smell. That should remove the scum.

I think you just have to periodically wash them by hand and use a sponge with a rough surface.

You have hard water most likely.

Start saving for a water softener.
