I believe that Personal conflict is a struggle inside between our values and reality - what has to be done due to circumstances. When one has troubles and various problems, cannot concentrate to the speaker. His mind is occupied with his own personal thoughts. A little egoistic, but this is how it happens.

Origtwans is a good answer. I want to punch you in the face for being a lazy last minute crammer who ,if going into a caring profession, where skillful listening is required, really should have the decency to learn and become more authentic; your easy fix attitude is against my values.
This dialogue is running round my important thought processes and if i were speaking to you face to face i would have to quieten it, so that i could really hear what you were saying and be empathetic.
As it is, i don't need to, you`re not in need, your`e just lazy. What are you going to do ask Yahoo answers for ideas when somebodies life is crashing?,

a personal conflict may be anything going on in your life, from a bad haircut to losing someone close. if you have something that's bothering you, it will be on your mind until it's resolved, which prevents you from listening to other issues.
