It will tell you when you put the CD in. If it doesn't say to remove it, then that means it will remove it for you and install the new one. Good Luck!

Trying to get rid of Norton is a real pain in the neck. I'd try to install over 2006 first,Norton says you can do this.If that doesn't work uninstall 2006 and install 2007.If you need any help with the uninstall there are a lot of good people here to help you that know what there are doing.

Disconnent your modem or switch it off at the wall, uninstall 2006 however when you uninstall it it will ask you if you want to keep setting say yes. Then install new version before putting on modem again, run a full system scan once 2007 is on.

I had to remove the old one, I started to install the 2007 and would not completely install until I had removed the old software.

sure, you will desire to uninstall Norton till now you install Kaspersky because of the fact the two with conflict and injury your gadget. And the quarantined viruses would be destroyed with Norton. wish this facilitates.

Now I love Norton...but even if the software says that it will I would do it manually. There are times that the update will miss things. Cheers

Don't install it, remove previous version from PC, get some good software that actually works.

i would say yes, but why bother with norton as it isn't the most reliable antivirus out there, for the same price range you could get Panda antivirus and it works so much more efficiently also it detects much more many virus's than the rest of em.

You only need to un-install the older version if it is dodgy

Symantec says that you do not (the software will do it for you) but I would highly recommend uninstalling first.
