my brother turned my laptop off without shutting it down properly and now it starts up making these squeaky noises.then it shows a load of components installed in my computer and it says press F1 to continue or F2 to (i forget).anyway then the computer starts up again and starts making those noises again and a page comes up saying that i had to choose one of the options and the options say start windows in safe mode, start windows in safe mode using command prompt or start windows normally.i choose to start normally and it did but how do i make sure that this will never happen again.i really really need help

It's no big deal. Just shut it down properly this time and it will be fine.

It happens to me on my desktop every time the power dies.

Personally after a few goes the problem will soon go away... laptops are always very tempromental.

It should be fine now. If it happens again:-Restart it in safe mode,let it boot up.Then shut it down correctly.Start it up again and it should boot normally.

i guess your hard disk must have been broken down., until and unless it breaks, no noise comes. try taking it to a service center and try to fix it.

dont worry..just read the messages on ur screen and you'll be good..since ur askin questions usin ur laptop i believe its not that bad as it sounds..
