i know you said you dont wanna get it online but thats probably the only way you can get one without really wasting your time. I would try ebay like someone else said. i got mine from a website, http://www.doiop.com/wiii . If you really want it, you either gotta take your chances at stores or try it online with less effort.

i preordered mine and still didn't get it until a week before Christmas, IU was about to camp out for one somewhere else but found that the shop had hiked the price up to 320 pounds from 180 so told them politely not bloody likely. You'll probably find end of january beginning of Feb they'll be a lot easier to come by.

Think outside the box, when i got my PS2 everywhere i went had huge lines for days outside their stores, then I stopped at sears just hours before they opened and they had only 2 people in line and they had 5 consoles, lets say i got my ps2 with little effort. if you have tried the large electronics retailers like best buy, circuit city, wal-mart, target, and K-mart try going to the lesser known places in your area that sell electronics, like sears or smaller toy stores also. Also, try looking thru your local paper's classified (most will post their classified also online, too) you may pay a little more maybe 30-50 bucks but that is the price you have to pay for that premium.
