My relative just bought a honda is is bragging about what a great car it is and how Hondas and Toyotas are much better than Mercedes. I have never bragged about anything. Any advice on this?

Smile and say " that's great that you love your car, I love mine also". Nothing ever gets better by starting a war over one opinion. In truth they are all great cars, but different types.German cars tend to be more of a drivers car and involve the driver more, where Japanese cars are more appliance type cars. They get the job done but with out the passion of a German car.Does that make one better than the other? Its a personal taste thing.

Also keep this in mind, if Mercedes is such a bad car why is it you relative has to tell you its better. MB has always lead the field in technology which can and does lead to some problems but its still the car that people want. When was the last time a WORLD LEADER pulled up in a Camry or Accord?

Tell her how happy you are that she loves her new honda but you are equally happy with your mercedes. Hopefully she will have no problems with it, even hondas and toyotas run into problems

give him a run for his money ... but seriously if your relative is bragging its because he doesnt have anything else better in his life to brag about like a good job, a family, etc... you should be proud with what you have and still do not brag about it
