I missed my period this month and I'm 100% positive that I'm not pregnant. I did spot a week or two after my last period. I have also gained 2-3 lbs. due to not having menstruated this month and it's driving me crazy. My question is, does missing your period cause weight gain from bloating or am I just eating too much?

missing your period has been known to cause weight gain but it is temporary as the fluid that your body is retaining will soon be shed.

Missing your period can cause weight gain because your hormones are out of whack. It is normal to miss a period exspecailly if your stressed or worn out. If you don't have a normal cycle next month you need to call an gynecologist for a check-up to see if it may be something more. They can also give you something to get you back on track normally its some form of birth control.

Hormones can do anything to you! I had a very similar problem when I was 19 and I swelled up like a balloon, especially my hands, legs and face. You need to go see a GYN. if the problem continues. They can give you a hormone to help you get back on track.
