I have never heard of that but I did some quick internet research and here are a few excerpts on what I found: Looks like the third source is most in line with what you are asking.
#1 Excess vitamin C blamed for atopy.(Brief Article)
COPYRIGHT 2005 Haymarket Business Publications Ltd.
A high intake of vitamin C in pregnancy may increase the risk of children later developing asthma and eczema, according to a UK study.
#2 Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is one of the less toxic choices of the herbs available for terminating pregnancy, and seems to be fairly effective when compared with other herbs used for the same purpose.
#3 It is widely (and mistakenly) believed that mothers who consume large amounts of vitamin C during pregnancy are at risk of giving birth to an infant with a higher-than-normal requirement for the vitamin. The concern is that the infant could suffer “rebound scurvy,” a vitamin C deficiency caused by not having this increased need met.

I have never heard of this either. Like everyone has said, though, don't take extra unless you are directed to by your doctor. On the other hand, if you are anemic, like I am, a little extra Vitamin C will actually help you absorb the iron better. You are better off getting the extra from your foods and not pills, though.

I guess it depends but don't listen to anyone except your doctor. With me i am taking my prenatal vitamins and everything but i have been having the morning sickness really bad that i am loosing weight so my doctor said to take vitamin c he said it wont hurt my baby that it will help me feel better so i guess the best advice i can give you is to ask your doctor is for the best hon.

I have never heard that. I have heard that if you take the wrong type of Vitamin C, namely 100% Ascorbic acid (No bio-flavinoids, no rose hips etc) in very very high doses, that it can cause miscarriage. But you have to take almost 4 times the recommended dose for prolonged periods of time.
Vitamin C is very good for the development of the amniotic sac.

I've read on Internet that Vitamin C is harmless to a pregnant woman and her baby. You can even google it and check it out:)

I've never heard that before.
Vitamin C is a very important vitamin to have during pregnancy. It helps to repair tissues and helps your body to fight infections.

you shouldnt take any extra supplements without your doctors approval.
but if you are 'craving' things with vitamin c--oranges, etc
that means your body is lacking it.
definately talk to your doctor/nutritionist
