A nocturnal animal is one that sleeps during the day and is active at night - the opposite of the typical human schedule (diurnal). The intermediate crepuscular schedule (twilight activity) is also common. Some species are active both during the day and night.
Nocturnal animals generally have highly developed senses of hearing and smell, and specially adapted eyesight.
Some animals, such as cats, have eyes that can adapt to both night and day levels of illumination. Others, e.g. bushbabies and bats, can only function at night.
A person who exhibits nocturnal habits is referred to as a night owl. Night owls who have difficulty adopting normal sleeping and waking times may have delayed sleep phase syndrome.

First of all, bats and owls can see in the day also. There are other nocturnal animals besides owls and bats. Lemurs can usually see in the dark. Their eyes are large so they can gather more light in the dark. Mice are nocturnal also. Hope this helps.

Bats and owls see just fine in the day. Any animal with relatively large eyes is prob going to see fairly well at night (lemurs, for instance)

Bats and owls can see at night. They only tend to come out at night because that's when their food sources are out. Bats eat mostly insects and owls like rodents.

Well owl can see in the day also. But bat, doesn't see at even night time. Also for catching its prey it uses its ultrasonic echo sound and not at all its eyes. And about other animals I thnk arthropods and a few mammals like the cat family can have vision in night also.
