Its funny that you say you are curious. :)
Guys snap bras because they are also curious.
Its a passive-aggressive response to curiosity. They are deeply fascinated and want to explore and experience, but its not allowed outside marriage (for good, healthy, appropriate reasons). They give themselves a small sense of having done that by snapping.
If you told them that, seriously, it feels like being kicked in the kiwis they would probably stop doing it.

It's funny. It's like lifting a skirt, but since girls don't wear skirts anymore these days, we snap bras.

Front hooks are the best: they are literally a "snap" to open.
