They are easy creatures to breed, the females carry their pink eggs on the underside of their carapace, they should be moved into a seperate tank if you wish the babies to survive, the young are too small to catch and so you must move the female while she is still carrying the baby ghost shrimp. It is essential to provide plenty of plants or other small hiding places in the aquarium for the young Ghost Shrimp. After the babies have hatched, the parent Ghost Shrimp should be removed. In order to successfully raise the young, they should be fed on baby brine shrimp, in addition to liquifeed (fry) food or minute algae.
When of adult size the males will be approximately one whole inch bigger than the females, the females may also be carrying pink eggs on their undersides.

I have 5 ghost shrimp in a 5 1/2 gallon tank. I've had them for about two months. A couple of days ago I noticed one of them was carrying eggs. The eggs she is carrying are green. From what I have read, if they like where they are living they breed easily. I don't have any fish in the tank just the ghost shrimp. I have gotten a lot of good information from this site: Petshrimp.com.

Put them together.
Ghost shrimps are like rabbits. In addition to being highly prolific, they are also very adaptable. Most water conditions are fine (pH anywhere from 6 to 8, temp from 67 to 85, etc) as long as extremes are avoided, of course.
Just put a large colony of them together. Do not keep fish with them - the fish will eat the baby shrimp.
You will soon see the female shrimp carrying greyish eggs under their bellies.
They are mildly brackish, so put in a rounded tablespoon or two of aquarium salt per gallon of water.

Feed them well, a variety of meaty and algae foods, and give them lots of java moss etc for the babies to eat from and hide in, and they'll breed easily. Cultivating some infusoria for the babies to eat is benificial, too.
