I am from india, I want to buy a new laptop.
The configuration is
1. Intel Core Duo Processor @ 1.6GHz
2. 512 MB ram / 1GB ram
3. 60 GB / 120 GB
4. 2MB L2 cache
5. 8X DVD writer
6. Integrated mic
..... etc
I want to buy it in "Lenovo", Can U please suggest me the model and price also( if U know )
Other than Lenovo U can suggest me any other if it has good configuration.
My budget is around Rs. 50k.

Most I can match this too is a Thinkpad 0657-4MU $999.00 US. This has a 15" display.
Visit www.govconnection.com and use part number 6882770. Also look at the Thinkpad T60 2623-DAU. You'll need to purchase an external DVD Burner though with this model.

Well i am not from India but from the US. i have a dell e1505 and i love it. In fact i am on it right now. A day or 2 ago i had 10 things running at once. A video copying,music, virus scanning,spam scanning,spy ware scanning, spy bot scanning, 2 Internet things going, another window up dealing with music, and something else i dont remember. It was a little over $1000 in the US. I dont know about India. Besides doesn't dell ship worldwide? Anyway it has a core 2 duo processor,120 gb hard drive, 1 gb of ram, best video card they offered, draft N wireless card and bluetooth. Its nice. I love it and havent got a problem with it yet. I also got a vista premium home upgrade for free. I highly recommend and i think its better than Toshiba
