Big Mamas House 2 is funny, but I also like The Color Purple. I'd say Big Mamas House 'cause I go for comedy. The more the better.

The two cannot be compared--"The Color Purple" is a drama, "Big Momma's House 2" can barely be considered a comedy. I guess the answer would depend on the type of person you are and what you find entertaining. The Color Purple is one very fine movie, and a very good book. Read any lately?

There was more depth to The Color Purple and that would definitely make it the better of the two.
