Such fantastical delusions! What makes you, or anybody think that the Rats care about anything beyond personal political power? They will do nothing except continue to steal our rights and freedoms and increase the socialism and tyranny of government, which they've been doing for decades.
Their foreign policies are childish and foolish and will cause much harm, much misery and tragedy.

Not really. To start with, there haven't been that many who like the US since WW2 when we gained all of our power. The major problem with power is that everyone wants your help to be equal to you, but you only have so many resources to do so. When you don't give them everything they want they get angry. They get even more angry if you go against them (consider you as having let the power go to your head and now you are picking on the little guy). Americans may be paying attention better to the hatred but its been there all along. If America ever loses its position as most powerful country the next one that comes along will have the same problem (more than likely with America being one of the ones doing the hating).
As far as bringing justice to Bush and Cheney, there are only so many ways to do that (the main one being to impeach them). The Democrats will more than likely not do that, there is too much of a chance it will backfire on them like it backfired on the Republicans when they impeached Clinton. Fear that the Republicans were gaining too much power pushed a lot of support toward Clinton rather than away from him. There is a fear doing the same to Bush would increase his support as well. So don't look for past wrongs to be righted.
I would look for Democrats to step in the way of most of what President Bush will try to do in the future. They will try to block any attempts by Bush supporters in Congress (in either the House or Senate) to introduce and/or pass legislation supporting any plans by the President. And while I doubt they will impeach they will start asking for more accountability from the president, asking more questions of policies and of the people making those policies.
But most important is that you seem to have the same basic problem of seeing the world in black and white. That there is only one good side and one bad side and if they are doing something bad that makes them bad. And therefore anyone fighting against them must be good. Bush may not be doing things in the most moral way but his intentions are good. He just surrounded himself with people whose morals aren't as good (as a matter of understatement, I believe in Cheney we have a possible Hitler wannabe).
I tend to believe the same of Democrats, they have their ones with good intentions and their ones with evil intentions. Unfortunately, the ones with evil intentions always seem to have the knowledge on how to twist words to make their intentions seem good. The Democrats will stop Bush's evil I think but will do so by replacing it with their own. And the good ones (both Republican and Democrat) will not realize there is a problem until it is already in place. Our country (and it isn't the only country with the problem; in fact, I'd go with more having the problem than not) has lost its way. Evil is filling the world because we allow it to do so (most of us don't even realize there is anything to stop). I believe only God can save us now.

Good question. A Democratic congress isn't going to do anything for our image though.
I am not sure what or how Americas image could be improved.
But we must not be thought of too bad though. There sure isn't any shortage of people wanting to come here.

Only if they can bring Bush up on charges like the Republicans did Clinton. Difference is, the Democrats will not have to fabricate lies like the Republicans did.

It's a step in the right direction to repudiate the Bush foreign policy. The President won't be able to act with impunity.

The only way this can happen is if every one stops point fingers and start pulling to gather for the common good. That means democrats AND republican pulling to gather in one direction!

there is a chance for that ... there have been several chances ... after 911, if u recall, the whole world was practically behind us ... there were a million people demonstrating in the streets of tehran in FAVOR of the US ... now hatred towards the US is stronger worldwide than it ever has been in history ... i think when somthing like that happens we need to take stock in just what exactly happened and what went wrong and maybe try to understand and correct the situation yes ...
