No, the easiest way to pick a lock with a single object would be to "scrape" the tumblers and a paperclip is not strong enough to do it.

Not with a door lock, no. On level lock (chubb type with a long key) a paper clip isn't ridged enough to lift a level and as most locks have at least 3, a decent external door lock should have 5 you wouldn't be able to lift them all to the correct height with a paper clip at the same time. A pin tumbler cylinder (yale type) the keyway is usually to small for a paper clip and again you would have to lift all the pins to the correct height. You wouldn't get a paperclip inside to do it. You might be able to open a box lock, very cheap padlock or possibly a cabinet lock with one. You could also quite easily open those locks jewellers like to put on sliding glass cabinet doors with one but not by picking it.
You couldn't slide a credit card in and open a door that way either btw. Not flexible enough.

Yes, in theory. IF the paperclip is not overly bendy it's possible to pick a standard tumbler lock with it. Any thin but sturdy piece of metal will work!
Alternatively if it's a yale lock, just take a thin card (cheapass Virgin student cards or other THIN credit-card sized things work), slide it between the door and the frame & just wiggle it about till you hit the latch of the lock. Since it's slanted towards you, you can use the card to push the latch back into the lock, opening the door.

Depends on how strong the paper clip is. As well, you may wish to practice on door locks of a bedroom door before trying an external doorlook to a house.

Yes
Depending on the type of lock.
A simple barrel lock like a front door Yale would be relatively easy.
A dead-lock where levers push a bolt into a slot could be opened but you usually need to move the levers at the same time, so a multi lever lock might need more than one clip, the more levers the more difficult to open.

Yes, some locks can be picked with paper clips. The cheap "disc wafer" locks like those often used on inexpensive furniture are easy to roll with some practice.

If you twisted it into a certain shape, it may just turn the lock. I may have been watching too many movies, but it is possible if you twist into the right shape.
