Yes because you are supposed to take a break for 15 minutes every 2 hours plus lunch in the middle of an 8 hour day. You are short changing your employer.
If you need a break from the work on that specific, go to another project. Most employers do not sanction an employee using their internet for personal business and YA is personal business.
Don't lose your job over something you should be doing at home.

If the customer or an employer is paying you for your time it's wrong. You should be taking a 20 min. break every 4 hours. What you do on that time is your own business.

Only if your breaks cause you to miss your deadline, or you're billing the customer for time when you're really not working. I find taking small breaks (like I'm doing now) helps in my overall productivity.
Use Answers wisely, and everybody wins!

I think if your company doesn't mind you being on personal sites while at work it is OK ........BUT.....only on your coffee breaks and lunch hours if you want to do personal surfing. Otherwise I'd say you should have your nose to the grindstone!! Get to work!! You will feel better when you have successfully accomplished your task!!

No, I do the same thing. Just make sure you meet your deadline and don't get caught. This sure is addictive isn't it? I told my friend about answers and the next time I saw him he said he's addicted to it too!
