I try to put on a nice voice, because obviously the person on the other end of the line has nothing to do with what you were yelling about... however I think its noticeable in your tone as to what type of mood you are in - so its pretty hard to jump from angry to nice in seconds!

I do answer nicely often, but then there are times when my mom is at work and calls the house like every 5 minutes for her bum of a boyfriend and it annoys me so much, I just let him answer the phone. Then his cronies call and they have all this attitude, so I respond back by hanging the phone up. Telemarketers don't bother me when it comes to my mom, her boyfriend and his peeps.

I can go from extremely p*ssed to nice voice in under a second. when I'm upset I'm only mad at the person I'm yelling at, not someone else who just happens to call @ the same time.

It depends how mad I am. If I am really yelling, then I don't even bother with the phone, I just let it ring.

I might answer the phone with a strong, firm voice or a nice sweet voice.

Well I don't answer the phone, I wait for a message. By me doing that, I can prepare my voice to whoever I'd be talking to. (SInce I don't have Caller ID)
