You have pay your lawyer. you have pay the court fees.
The total amount will depend upon your 1. assets 2. liabilities 3. number of children 4. alimony 5. child support, etc.
The more things you have to separate, the more it will costs you.
If there are disagreements, it will cost you even more and more !

Yes, it does. It will be the exact same amount as filing for divorce. It is the same procedure as a divorce also, but you end up legally separated instead of divorced.
You can usually find the costs on the Clerk of the Court's web site for the county where you live.
