and I am at my witts end. I am not computer savy so if any one has any advise on the video ipod 80gb I would sure appreciate it. As of now I have nothing in my ipod. Do they sell a book ipods for dummys?

first you need to get something to convert the dvd to a format the ipod can play i forgot what some of the formats were. then after that you should just be able to drag and drop it into your itunes and update it.

Good question, I dont know the answer. Is it possible to put dvd movies on the video ipod? I have one too and would do it!

Nero Recode will do this.
I use nero recode to convert movies I have downloaded, it iwll also convert from dvd.
It converts them to MPEG 4 format.
Once you have the finished mpeg 4 file, drag into itunes library.
