As for land, the population of the world right now could fit in the state of Texas at a population density little more than New Jersey's.
Food, heck, food production using modern techniques and technology would amply supply enough food.
Water? Now you've hit a limitation point. Water is not universally abundant; in some places there's almost no limit to the water supply, in others it is a strict limiting factor.
But I don't think that there will be a problem, even with some of the natural limitations.
If people are worried about overpopulation, the only logically consistent thing they can do is remove themselves and their children from the population.

Why do you think the population will keep increasing? The planet cannot and will not sustain such an increase. I fully believe there will be a major decrease in that time frame. And I would also suggest that the population will decrease by as much as 3 billion.
Look at what is happening in Africa even now. There are individuals who are trying to do something, but there is no political will, to do anything major by any of the present "Have" nation. There are only band-aid solutions. With Global warming & depletion of "fossel fuels", the ability to produce enough food to maintain will not exist.

Fear not...there are plans afoot for mass genocide with boilogical engineering of the Avian Flu and West Nile (to name only a couple). The planet cannot sustain the kind of population explosion we have had and will continue seeing...so it has to be controlled. While we citizens are insensed about the American political non-interest in Darfur...the government is sitting back allowing it as it takes care of a few million without them having to raise a finger.

Sprawling metropolitan areas and very dense urban centers, as for the water... when the cost goes up, people will think twice about their usage.
To the person below, the earth isn't going to dry up. You are a moron. We won't lose any water to space, it all stays here.
