If you get your period every 2-3 months you should consult your OBGYN about your weight and nutritional health. This is a problem for conception because regular period make it easier to conceive, but the fact that your periods are sometimes MIA could mean that something else may be wrong with you, i.e you are under weight or missing nutrients that your body needs. Some regular blood tests and a PAP should let you know what's going on. If you are un-able to afford one many cities and even some colleges have Planned Parenthood who have OBGYNs who work for them and for you at a reduced cost (or free depending on your circumstances). Besides, obviously this is worrying you and stress doesn't help conception either!

How old were u when u started? Your still young and most times it's just your chemisty to have irregular periods, but unless there is something going on with ur female parts? There is no reason why u can't conceive. You do know that being on birth control can also regulate ur periods. It's also important to take folic acid to help your body when u do want to concieve.
