You are very mature for your age to start planning your career at a very tender age. Your career choice should follow your heart and your mind. What do you like best? Is it psychology, marine biology, air force or law? All 4 are very respectible fields, however, you are the only one who is able to decide.
Remember that people who like their jobs don't even consider it work .... moreover, they don't experience burnouts! You must LOVE YOUR WORK. Keep in mind that a person's work should be motivating. For example, my friend chose to become an accountant. Her thrill is balancing the books and a reimbursement of taxes for her clients! She loves doing income taxes and other accounting tasks. Imagine! But that's the field she's most comfortable with and she can work until 2 - 3 in the morning during tax season and still find it motivating and rewarding.
The questions you should be asking yourself are the following:
I'm I able to set aside enough time to study to reach my objectives and goals so that I can become excellent in my field?
Do I have a natural tendency to help people and make this a better world? I'm I able to listen attentively even though the subject may be boring? (Psychology)
Would I like the chosen field enough risk my life and to give it my 100%? (Air Force)
Would I mind if my chosen field would demand that I be away from my family for long periods of time? (Marine biology)
Do you enjoy arguing? Working until the early hours of the morning to prepare your case or until there's NO WAY the other lawyer could win? How would I react to defeat? Would I be able to recover from a lost case? (Law)
Also go on the internet and find out the demands on the above fields.
Once again, I extend my congratulations to you for starting early. Many people your age don't have that early ambition.

LAW! Lawyers make a lot of money and are able to help different kinds of people.
You don't want to join the air force because the country is at war and it's dangerous!
You may have to move to a different part of the country to be a marine biologist (depending on where you life).
Psychology is a very popular college major and because of the number of people who graduate with that degree it will be difficult to get a good job.

Wow, you made me reflect a bit. I just pressed my youngest to get into a school that applies children from beginning middle and high school to focus on advance science medicine and to be fair art. I really want her to get a gos education and I pressed her to get it together to pass the entrance exams. She did and is doing well so far. Well your interest in psychology is a good one. This is a career that can help many, you can also offer help based on your faith. So those of the same faith can come to you for help and you can guide them. You are the one who has to live in your skin, you must be comfortable there. If you do not want to live in the skin of a Dr. then you can not as you will always wonder what if. Every time you are unhappy as a Dr. it will be their fault as you will say what if I became what I wanted to become then I could be happy going into work today.

In the next four years, your world will open up beyond all imagining! There are, believe me, lawyers who were double majors in marine bio and psych in college, and who attended law school while in the Air Force reserves. Keep an open mind, keep your options open, get a broad and deep general education, and make such decisions when you have enough knowledge and experience to know what is right *for you*!

I would choose Psychology..... mainly because with a degree in this, you can work just about anywhere. Also, if you decide to get graduate degrees in Psychology, you can really start to make good money! I am a Psychology major, right now I am pursuing my AA degree and then I will transfer to an University where I will pursue my Bachelor's in Psychology and my Master's in School Psychology. Hope this helps!

the best career choice is the career that you love doing. You cant wait to show up to work the next day and you want to grow and learn more everyday. The one that keeps you awake and alert to new things and gives you room to advance and move up. The one job that gives you opportunity to share your talents. That my friend, is a great career. Working in a career like that, shows that you have made the best career choice ever.

Strike psychology off of the list. All of the others are fine. If you're a decent person, I would think that law would be a financially rewarding career.

You can't answer this question until you figure out what you like best. Don't go into a career for prestige or money...find something you like to do, and it will reward you.
