For example, the Saddam Hussein trial - was hanging him wrong? What would you have done, if you had been in charge?

It depends what you call humane, all methods of execution are inhumane, it's to take someone's life, now here in the States the method in most states is the lethal injection, which is considered the most humane, but the other day they were executing someone in Florida and took half an hour for the guy to die, because the executioners didn't have the practice to get the vein, do you think that is humane?..☺

Being hanged is not the most dignified way of dying, but it suited Saddam well. He faced his death with seemingly no fear. I suppose he either really believes he is going to heaven, or he really hid his fear well.

If I had to choose for myself, I would want lethal injection. Just fall asleep and die. I can't help but think that hanging would be painful at first.

For a man like Saddam, I almost think he would have suffered more to be kept in a prison for his entire life.

He is a proud man used to the finer things in life. Living in a crappy prison with a bunch of Iraqis that hate him may have been a longer and more painful sentence for him.

Make no mistake - I do believe he deserved what he got and I am glad the Iraqi people have justice for what Saddam did to them.

Why all the concern about how humane it is to execute a convicted criminal? It's the convicted criminals previous acts that warranted the death penalty in the first place. Do it how ever way you want.

If your concern is will the executed suffer. Put a pound of C-4 on their head and set it off.

If you want it to be neat give them an overdose of morphine.

If you want it to be cheap a bullet to the back of the head wouldn't cost much.

And execution is NOT a deterent. It's taking out the garbage. Do it and then go do something else.

Nobody knows for certain but as grusome as it seems i think hanging would be less painful than many other forms. Such as the electric chair and even lethal injection.
What would have i done if i were in charge? I would have went out for a beer with Saddam. I bet he could tell you some interesting stories when drunk.

i'm nonetheless puzzled as to how humane someway have been given entered interior the equation before everything. those human beings confirmed no mercy or humanity for his or her victims or their families. Now, we could continuously not torture them, yet whilst putting them down inflicts slightly soreness, so be it. The regulation says no merciless and unusal punishment. deadly injection isn't merciless neither is it unusual. it may or would possibly not reason slightly soreness, yet thats all issues they could have seen in the previous killing yet another human. for my section, i think of existence, 24 hrs an afternoon in a small cellular is a greater advantageous punishment. they could bathe, bathrroom and consume in that cellular. they could have a bible and thats it. they only come out whilst they die. they have lost the main fabulous to be with something of society. loss of life is to effective for those human beings. they'd desire to pay daily and stare at those 4 partitions til they die of previous age, which will maximum probable be slower and greater painful than a deadly injection.

Yes, just sever their legs off and feed them to other criminals. Then, surgically insert a womb into them and make them pregnant! Then wait till they give birth and do a C section without anestesia. Then shoot him twice in the chest and once in the face.

same way he got him or herself into the problem
what ever they did to their victims seem about right
why give them gentle treatment when their victims went through pure hell
why
because we are better, well they are not, and maybe if our nice human way gets worst, maybe they will think a little more before they hurt another person

good luck

If you're EXECUTING someone, who cares if it's humane or not?

And no, hanging him wasn't wrong. Wrong was not doing it sooner.
