Crickets can live up to one week if fed properly, and treated properly. If your'e lucky you might even get babies! (Little worms.) Crickets can live longer if you give them some vegetation such as melons, watermelon, lettuce, cabbage or apples. Crickets do prefer some warmer temperatures though why dont you put a lamp up beside the container where you keep them?

After somewhat some lifeless crickets, i got here upon a especially good technique. I order 500 at a time from flukers and shop them in those great storage containers you get at Wal mart. I decrease holes and located sink strainers in them for good ventilation. Take a slat and warm glue it sideways around the field. Get 4 eggcrates and glue 2 and a couple of jointly so as that they'd cover interior. Set them up resting on good of that slat. then you definitely've form of a triangle shape. Take a icecube tray and fill it with moist paper towels and cricket cubes. those orange cubes are all you decide on. do not situation approximately messing with leftovers. Take the ice cube tray and set it on the floor below the place your egg crates meet. That way each and every of the cricket waste falls right down to the aspects and misses your foodstuff tray. I try this and could flow by way of all 500 crickets and have not have been given any deaths.

I've boughten crickets from Petsmart and they only live a few days...even with me adding apple slices and all the little extra stuff that is suppose to keep them alive.
I quit buying from there and I go to a mom and pop pet shop, I get 500 crickets for 10 bucks and they last me a month for our lizards...I have very few dead crickets in our cricket tank at the end of the month.
Just my 2 cents.

If you are feeding the crickets they can live up to 2 weeks in a container at room temp. If not possible 5 days or so. If you buy a "Kricket Keeper"($7.00 @PetSmart) and add 1/2 slice of fruit or vegetable they can live for a while.

I get them for our lizards and they usually only last about a week or so, they will last a little longer if you cut up an apple and put it in there with them
