This is also not a jolly jumper you hang on a door frame but on a metal stand that is secure. I will have to keep an eye on her so she doesnt choke herself i guess.

Under no condition would I put a baby in a Jolly Jumper. In fact I think they should be pulled off the market. I spent15 years as an ER nurse and can't tell you how many injuries I saw. Broken femurs, the top coming offf the door frame and the child falling and having a head injury. I had one child almost strangulate himself. The amarican Academy of pediatrics also does not recommend them, they also are leading edge in getting walkers pulled off the markiet.Kids get to moblie and get into things they shouldn't.

My son is almost 5 months old and I have been using his Jumperoo since he was about 4 months old. He loves it. He stands up just fine and he doesn't really bounce either he just kind of moves from side to side, but he really likes the toys and lights that are on it. He also really likes that he can move around and play, while being supported, but not having mommy hold him all the time. He is such an independant little thing.

we bought our son a fisher price jumperoo, same thing as jolly jumper, just not hanging from a big bar.... we put him in it when he was 3 and a half months old, all he did at first was suck on the side haha but he learnt to bounce after 2 weeks, now he's four and a half months old and he goes crazy in it... he has the most fun

We have a floor standing jumparoo jumper, it doesnt hang from the ceiling or doorway...We put our baby in at about 5 months...basicly it depends on how well they hold their head and back. She's always trying to sit up and will in fact pull her self to sitting from a recline position. At first she didnt bounce a whole lot, but now! Wow! Look at her go! It's hilarious!

Yes, 4 mths is fine if she has good head control. That was the time we put our son in one, he's now 9 mths old. He didn't jump at first either, but still really enjoyed his new view! You'll be surprised at how quickly they learn that they can bounce in it! It was so cute the first time he started jumping, he was really excited and laughing. Just make sure to limit the time at first that she is in it, say 15 min to start, then longer as her muscles get stronger and she's more used to it.

I also started around 4 months old. Make sure that they are properly supported though. By 6 months, they were bouncing all over.

As long as you stay with her it's okay at 4 months but the best time would probably be at 6 months. Of course, you need to watch the baby at all times but 6 months they have more fun in it.

When he was old and strong enough to hold his head up and sit up on his/her own. Idealy around 5-6 month old I would say. It's been a while since mine were babies, but I think that was the age when they used theirs.
