I have 18x9.5 wheels in the back and 18x8 in the front. Can i fit a 235/40/18 in the back and if so, what tire needs to go in the front?

i think that would barely fit i would suggest a 275/295 in the rear and 225/265 front you want a little bit of rubber between your tire and the road surface. info corvette wheels

Without know what application (type of car) this is and what size tires came on it originally, it is not possible to get a good, accurate answer.

Without the vehicle type for example we don't know clearances, tire diameter, necessary load carrying capacity, speed rating, etc.

Depends on how you want your car to look. I'd go with a 225 or 215/40/18 myself.
