There could be based on the mood or tone "hurtin music" creates. For example if you play C&W backwards you get your truck, your dog and your Ex. back, in that order and if you have already gone through the greiving process it can become quite tedious. Similarly with C&W singers, they get depressed when screwing in a light bulb, because it takes five, one to screw in the light bulb and four to sing about how much they miss the old one.
One could also be depressed if one consistently attends a family reunion looking for a date and doesn't find anyone new. This may cause accidental overdose by white lightening intoxication.
I think there may have been just as many Rock or Rap suicides but these are usually also classified as accidental, I mean there is no reason to question them, just because they are shooting up enough to kill a horse, is there?
The main difference is C&W singers tend to blame themselves, characterized by the frequent use of the word "I". Whereas Rock and Rap singers tend to blame intimate others, indicated by the frequent use of the term "the ***** (female dog) is back", or something similar.
