In times past after being miserable I have quit. But that's why I'm still leaving at home with my mother. If you don't have anything to fall back on I guess all you can do is pray about it and ask God to open a door for you. It's not a good thing to go to a job that you are miserable on though, the stress could really lead to problems. A woman once told me that about a job I was miserable on, she said "coming to work everyday can cause you to have a bad heart like me" About three weeks later she was dead from heart failure. But if you are not stressed to the point that it's effecting your health, then things will eventually pay off for you. Look at it like this if you got that job you can get another, start looking for one now. Look on the internet, try websites like careerbuilders.com and snagajob.com. With your effort and God's help you'll find something new and the road ahead will be brighter.

Here's what I did: I got a second job, and decided to quit after a year having both. At the end, I worked for 1,5 years in both places, until I resigned to the one I hated, which, by the way, was giving me a much better salary, I mean, 3 times the one I make at my other job, but believe me, I don't regret it. I am in debt, it's true, and I can't afford the same things I did in the past, but I feel so much better, such freedom...but my advise is, look at al the pros and cons, and see if you can get a second, part time job, so at least you have something else to look forward to everyday, that happened to me and it made my time at the job I hated more bearable...just make sure any decision you make is well thought.
Good luck!

If you cant afford to quit, then don't. You never know if you will find another job right away or not. Like someone else said use some vacation time, or if you don't have any see if you can have some personal days even if it is unpaid. Maybe it is just a burn out thing.

I can sure relate to your question. You just stick it out until something better comes along, especially if it's your only source of income and you need the benefits. Go to a head hunter or an agency and let them find you another job. Have them schedule 3 or 4 interviews in one day and then take a day off your present job and go on the interviews. Hopefully, something will work out for you. Good luck.

You either find another job and transition directly into it or build an alternate income. I can help with the latter if you're interested, if not, option A will work for you. I've found this web site that pays you to complete offers and take online surveys. There are lots of sites like it but this one works best for me. Maybe it'll work for you, too.
Info is available here:

Sign up and complete your first offer to activate. From there, you decide how much you make at it.

Duh- job hunt....
My husband got suspended for a (to me) super-dumb reason. While he wasn't working, he went to job service, filled out an app for another company. The new company called to verify his "current" job, and when he came in to work after his suspension, they said, "sounds like you don't need this job- Pink slip!" (Yeah, I'm a little bitter...) It was ok- he had a week off, between the old place firing him and the new place starting training. It all worked out.
My suggestion- job hunt, fill out applications, submit resumes, but ask that those potential employers NOT call your current job- it could jeopardize your current work.
Good luck!

Hating your job is hard, but being broke is harder. And mentally it is even more traumatic if you quit your job and then cant find another one soon enough to pay your bills.

Take vacation days and look for something else. You should always be able to find time to find another job, when you find it, quit the other one.
