Will time will be affected if the rotation of the earth occurred in the inverse direction that it does currently?

Nothing would happen to time, but the spin down and spin up in the other direction would be a fun ride -- during the transition of no spin perhaps we would all move to the sunny side of the planet -- well, perhaps some would stay on the "dark side". Keep your watch.

Nothing would happen to time itself. Time as we refer to it is an artificial construct made by human beings and would not be affected by the rotational direction of the earth. We would have to adjust the way we think about time and refer to it in a different matter.

The bigger problem is what happens as the earth slows its rotation and reverses it. This could be very ugly.

As far as time reversal there are several theories superman tried to establish if one man could go around the earth fast enough he could go back in time. That is an on going theory some believe if you could access another dimension for a short controlled time you could go forward or back word. as far as the earth changing direction my opinion is time would stop and earth would be destroyed completely. just a hunch lol...

Nothing. Lots of planets rotate in the opposite direction as ours, including a few in our own solar system.

The times zones would have to be adjusted to be in reverse order

it would go backwards - is that what you want to hear?

Time has nothing to do with the earth spinning so the answer of what will happen to time is NOTHING.
