Okay, this answer works but I am not sure if that is what they are looking for:

The numbers look like they are in sets of three...so every third number will go up by one. (1,2,3,4...)

Meanwhile the second number is multiplied by a number starting at 3 and incrementing up one each time. (1X3, 2X4, 3X5, 4X6...)

Finally the third number is again multiplied by the same number as the second number, but it uses the value of the sum from the second number. (3X3, 8X4, 15X5, 24X6...)

1,3,9...
--> 1 X 3 = 3
--> 3 X 3 = 9

2,8,32...
---> 2 X 4 = 8
---> 8 X 4 = 32

If that pattern continues, the third set of numbers should be:

3,15,75...
--> 3 X 5 = 15
--> 15 X 5 = 75

15, 75, 4, 24,.....

The sequence goes 1, 3 (3 times the first number), 9(3 times the second number), then starts back at 1 added to the first number which is 2, then multiplies by 4 to get 8, then by 4 again to get 32, then adds one to the second starting number to get 3, then multiply by 5 to get 15, and on the sequence goes.

15, 75

Just guessing...first three are

1, 1 x 3, 1 x 3 x 3

Then

2, 2 x 4, 2 x 4 x 4

So I'd guess the next three would be

3, 3 x 5 = 15, 3 x 5 x 5 = 75

starting with the first term, every 4th term after that is in numerical order. the two terms after that are multiplied by that term + 2

1, (1+2)(1), (1+2)(1+2)(1)
2, (2+2)(2), (2+2)(2+2)(2)
3, (3+2)(3), (3+2)(3+2)(3)
4, (4+2)(4), (4+2)(4+2)(4)

so 1, 3, 9, 2, 8, 32, 3, 15, 75, 4, 24, 144, ...

hope that helps
