I hate asking stuff like this but I looked online and found no answers.

I have a very heavy vaginal discharge (I always have) and I know there is nothing wrong with it other then the annoyance factor. If anyone knows any ways to decrease it... like eating certain things, drinking certain things... etc... please let me know

Just a little side note : I have had a heavy discharge since I was 13... unfortunately it runs in the family. It is odorless, colorless, doesn't itch, doesn't burn, and I am 23 so I know my normal bodily functions by now. It is the normal discharge for me but it is a great annoyance. I have ruined many nice pairs of panties and I can't wear anything see through or lace ever since it will go right through.

Not many have such a heavy discharge so I understand to thoes of you who do not it may seem a medical problem... but unfortunately I may have to just live with it my whole life. I was just wondering if anyone out there has had this problem and knows how to stop it.

BTW: durring sex I tend to dry out with is the weird thing....

Not that I know of. I know that eating certain things will affect vaginal odor (such as garlic) but not the amount of discharge. Eating a lot of yogurt is said to help prevent yeast infections, maybe this has something to do with discharge in general.

I'm fairly certain that they have some non-invasive meds that might be able to help with that. Consult your OB/GYN and ask them if they can recommend anything for you to do. Depending on the doctor, they may not be willing to recommend meds for something so trivial, but there's always the chance that there is something pathogenic causing your discharge. It won't hurt to bring it up during your next yearly, and you'll be paying anyway.

As far as your diet affecting your vaginal odor, that's complete horsesh!t. Unless you switch over to an all-garlic diet, the odds of it affecting your vaginal odor are about the same as it affecting the smell of your tears. Otherwise, eating one particular thing or another does not affect vaginal secretions.

And the yogurt thing...just don't. Putting yogurt down there in this day and age is completely unnecessary.

If this is after heavy petting, it is natural, the bodies way to lubricate itself for sex. If it is all the time, you need to be checked for yeast infection. A heavy discharge is not normal. We need more free clinics in America. See your family doctor.

If you have excessive discharge, you need to know what's causing it before you can decide what to do about it. See your doctor.
