Actually, Buffy season 8 will be in comic book format (Dark Horse will be publishing it)... the first issue is scheduled to come out in March (March 7 is the street date for now). Joss has set out the arc for the "year" and will be writing the first 4 and last 4 issues of the year I believe. It follows on after the events of year 7 and will be considered canon for the series.
From the preview from the comic catalog:
"There used to be one slayer in all the world. Eighteen hundred now, that we've counted. Almost five hundred working with us, in ten separate squads. There's even three of me."- Buffy

1. I don't know how people become vampires but I think that if you listen to the intro. of the show, it's sort of like a given, that evil coexists with the good ("In every generation, there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and forces of darkness. She is the Slayer"). 2. Darla, another vampire, bit Angel and turned him into one, sometime, I'm not sure, between the 17th and 19th century. 3. Yes, they can transform during the day as long as they are in the shade and not under any direct sunlight. Otherwise, they burst into flames. 4. Angel became a vampire with a soul after he was cursed by some ancient elderly figures to punish him. 5. Yes, I think he is. 6. She found out at the end of season 2. I can't remember the specific circumstance 'cause it's been a long time since I've seen it. 7. Buffy's parents are divorced. She and her mom moved to Sunnydale, while her father stayed in Los Angeles. 8. I don't know who the slayer was before her. 9. Go see the 1992 movie with Kristy Swanson as Buffy. She was approached by a Watcher before Giles when she was still in high school and living in LA. 10. No, I haven't seen it. I only have season 5. Xander always had a crush on Cordelia but she's a popular girl who doesn't want to be seen hanging out with Xander and company, much less date him. Somehow, after getting herself in trouble from time to time and always getting saved by Buffy and the gang, she started to see them differently and treated them with some respect. Of course, only in their company when no one else is around. As for love? Maybe just a little. She appeared to have been really hurt when she caught Willow and Xander kissing.

I miss Buffy. I liked Angel too, just wish they would've wound up together. I don't think it should come back on. Could you even imagine a different cast? And although Kristy Swanson is the original Buffy (from the movie), SMG will always be the true Buffy. If there were to be a spinoff, I could see it being about Faith (although, only if Eliza played the part. She was kick a**).

Hmm. I think Buffy the vampire slayer had a good run...still.. I wouldn't mind a Season 8. Just to see if any other evils will try and get back at Buff for saving the world.. Maybe a certain council will be looking for some payback..seeing now there is now more that one Chosen one. X3

I'm sorry to say that I don't think that there will be any more Buffy seasons. ='( They've said that it's best to stop when the viewers are the most. A new spinoff would be cool.

I am right there with you. You would think Joss Stone would come up with at least a movie version, as none of the actors other than David Boreanaz and Allison Hannigan are doing much.
SMG hasn't had any big hits, but she has had some roles.

No. I think it ended well thats that.
I wouldn't mind seeing more, but I'd rather see more episodes of Friends, Sex and the City or Raymond.
