1. to ignore them.
2. to provide the evidence that shows them up for talking twaddle.
To try and "ban" them is not really very helpful - it does little to show how wrong they are.

This is a tricky one,
There is no "hard evidence" of the sheer volume of people killed in the camps in Europe (Jew, political opponents, Gypsies, Russians). This open ended aspect will always cause questions , and any historian worth his/her salt should be trying to find the answers.
Because people question history and facts it does not make them wrong or evil. To use it for your own political agenda does!! The fear of being accused of being right wing by the majority can really stifle the truth and we may never know exactly what happened due to knee jerk reactions (just look at all the responses to this question).
To deny the search for truth is exactly what the far right was about , lets not try and encourage it !! As much as I disagree with that author who was imprisoned in Austria it was a real blow to freedom of speech and human rights that he was jailed, I think a balance has to be struck.

The evidence of the survivors is too strong to ignore. So what the "Holocaust deniers" have done to justify their argument is look at stories and find contradictions. They then turn round and say "There are differences in the story so ALL evidence of the Jews must be dismissed as it unreliable"
A very poor way of examining history, but it fits their right wing agenda.

Holocaust denial is appalling. Sadly, many otherwise decent people are taken in by these lies, particularly in certain countries were nobody from the nation concerned was involved in Nazi Germany.
The Nazi camps were of various types. Producing a prisoner from a work camp, like parts of Auschwitz, is of little help in establishing the horrors of purely extermination camps, where all the prisoners were taken straight from the trains to the gas chambers. By definition, just about nobody survived these camps. and there are therefore few direct victims able to say how many people were killed. In short, producing a prisonner is a more or less conclusive argument against the denier, but little use against the revisionist.
Part of the horror of the holocaust was that it was part of a bureaucratic machine. This generates all sorts of records, including things like railway timetables, and whilst the Nazis tried to destroy what they could I suspect enough remains to show how many died. In addition, we have archive witness testimonay as well as that of remaining survivors. There is also demographic evidence of the numbers of people alive at different dates.
Perhaps I could mention that it was harder to sort out how many died as a result of Stalin's tyranny. Because Stalin persecute all sections of his population, it was difficult to sort out how many died as a result of war action and how many as a result of persecution. Following the fall of the Soviet Union it has been clear that Stalin killed far more people even than Hitler. That is not to say that Hitler was not appalling, he was. And each death as a result of racial or other persecution is dreadful in itself, it is not a matter for comparing numbers of deaths. But I fear Hitler was not as unique a case (even in persecuting Jews) as we might like to think.

The Jews did not suffer in Germany because there was no Holocaust. Actually it was the Jews that was torturing the poor blond haired deprived Germans. Those tattoos on the Jews arms and hands that are still alive today (by the grace of God) are really there because they want to be hip.
OTHER CONSPIRACIES TO THINK ABOUT:
1. We knew the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbor before they did. I mean come-on President Roosevelt liked the thought of our boys baking inside the Battle Ship Arizona before they died. The President was looking for a better way to get a good nights sleep.
2. America did not land on the Moon. We payed billions of dollars for the 360 foot Saturn 5 rocket so we could look at it and say wow that is a big rocket. We kept approx. 400,000 technicians, scientists and construction contractors quiet, with zero leaks to the public. The rocks that we thought that came from moon and have proved to be from the moon are really from the Pacific Ocean.
3. The Mafia whacked JFK, via the Russian connection, via the Cuban connection.... The man on the grassy knoll was a CIA agent acting on orders from Giancana from Chicago and Marcello from New Orleans, with duplicity from Castro and Kruschev....true story.
4. Aliens landed in Roswell and we transported them to Area 51 to back engineer their technology, where do you think the stealth air craft came from? Again, we kept it secret by brain washing the thousands of workers who were in on the scam.
5. The Moon we see every night is really not there along with the planets, stars as well as the Planet Killing Asteroids. Those were put there by the evil United States to toy with our minds.
6. The fossils of homo eructus, neandertals and 15 other hominids that are extinct were put there by paleotologists, archeologists, and assorted rock hounds to enhance their careers. Creationism is the only reality.
7. America is a conspiracy and is a fake country and none of us Americans really live here.
8. I was never born so this response to your question is a fake.

doubt there will ever be a way to convince the deniers the Holocaust never took place. however there are books by some who were involved with the concentration camps who thought up until their death they were doing the right thing.

If you wish to follow down the same road as a maniac to the same end unlimited power!!!! you must first try to discredit any evidence of the pain and distruction that he caused , or no one is likley to follow you . In this world of instant news and ability to get any evidence to disprove a theory i dont,t think the have a dogs chance in hell of reppeating the same horrendius acts again , although that will not stop them trying for they are as mad as he was

I will say the same thing that I have said before. Don't worry about stopping them. The evidence is sooooo against them, so great and voluminous, that I don't think we need to actively stop them.
If we all continue to assert the evidence, that's all that will be necessary. No fight - just cite the evidence.

Its basically down to the old adage - anti-semitism! Its always been rife here and abroad and still is so today. Sad isn't it? Can't think of an answer to stop it all except go to India where there has never been a single case of public anti-Jewish abuse.

They are morons and, like most moronic people, are best avoided and ignored. We know what really happened in the death camps - we have the evidence to prove it. The sad thing is that oppression and torture are still going on, 50 years after Belsen and Auschwitz were liberated.
