I work PT for Limited Brands for 5 years now,and have never heard the story about the man wearing women's underwear! Although, I do like the theory! The company started with The Limited in 1963. It used to be just clothing at Limited, bubbles at BBW, and undergarments at Victoria's...but, naturally, supply & demand has brought in 3rd party brands, thus expanding thier lines in all different directions in all of their stores.

as far as i know its about the victorian era .( queen victoria- England) that time in history was very "straight laced" very prudish. legs , arms, almost every body part covered completely. even piano legs were covered . a person would not refer to legs, arms, but use the word limbs - and then not really acceptable in mixed male female company. BUT behind closed doors (giggle) under those clothes women wore the laciest , sheerest under things which victoria's secret is famous for selling nowadays.

ok my daughter told me,and she is one that is " in the know" about Victoria's secret, and she told me,that Victoria, was really a guy and he loved to put on his wife's underthings,so he designed his own line of lacy, frillies to wear for himself. His wife loved them so much, she marketed them and Victoria's Secret was born.
