Please don't think I'm trying to be rude. This is just something I've noticed. I know I tend to get jealous of my pregnant friends and family. i want another baby but can't have one right now.

Forgot to add; We plan on having another baby when we can afford it. I don't know if I'm really jealous or if I'm just impatient...lol.

I think it depends completly on the person. And first of all I'm 17 and I am getting married soon and I am FINISHED (GRADUATED) from school and if I wanted to start a family I could. I'm sorry but things happen for a reason. It's NO ONE'S place to judge if a girl is ready or not. **** happens. You are no one to tell them if they're not ready to have a family the most important thing is if they're willing to take care of it or do what is BEST for it. I'm sorry but I think people who say all teen moms weren't ready.. better yet who just were never ready for they're kid(s) and/or don't deserve them are ignorant. For those of you who have children should know when the baby is born... the baby CHANGES EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. It just depends... Everything happens for a reason. Some girls feel that they are ready for children at 16 or 17 and what can we tell them? If someone feels they're ready then most likely they are as long as they are financially stable and can handle the responsibility that's they're choice. Who are we to judge anyone?

Now girls having kids at the age of 12-15 is a completly different thing.. but who are we to tell them they can't?

I've been trying to conceive for 12 months without any luck so far... I get a little jealous of anyone who has a bump or a newborn, no matter what their age. But what really gets to me is the girls/women who use abortions as a form of birth control (don't get me wrong, I think in certain situations that abortions are acceptable, just not as a birth control plan when the girl/woman didn't bother to use protection)... I think that it is really unfair, especially when there are so many couples who are unable to conceive and would love to give that baby a loving home.

They think its more acceptable to be jealous of a kid than an adult. Its sad when put into those terms. Pregnancy, like jealousy, knows no age requirements.

I was a teen mom, my kids turned out just fine. Now I'm trying for a fourth and crazy with impatience. I find myself a bit jealous of anyone with a baby tummy, regardless of age.

Anyone that can not conceive get jealous of anyone that is able to, not just teen moms. I am on my 3rd child and I get told all the time how lucky I am to be able to have a baby. Some women who can not have a baby, don't want to adopt because they know that they never gave life to the child, and never feel like it is totally their child. I understand what they go through. It took me almost 3 1/2 year to get pregnant with my second child, all my friends were having babies and I was ready for another child. This child was my husbands first and it was really hard on him.
Please do not judge childless mothers, they can't do anything about the fact they are unable to conceive a child, but they all want one. Be sympathetic. It could be your daughter that is standing in their shoes later in life.

I don't know if I would call it jealousy. Mature adults tend to frown on teenage mothers because they realize the responsibilities involved in raising a child and teenagers, no matter how mature, just are not ready to handle the responsibility.

So, for older, mature women who are ttc will most likely be jealous of another women having a baby, but when it comes to teenage mothers, I think it's more aggravation than jealousy.

I'm not really jealous of teen moms. I mean, who really wants to be in that situation? I just think that its ironic when teens who are in no position to raise a family get pregnant while there are adults who can provide for a family that can't get pregnant.

I dont think that they get jealous. I think it might be because, they want to start having families, and either they cant get preg. or they have a prob getting preg....And then they see and hear about all these 13-15 year olds who are so young, and they are having babies left and right. And it upsets them or makes them angry because a person that young should not be having children.

I think its just a matter of stereo type, they have the mentality that only because they are young they do not know how to be a real parent therefore they dont deserve to be a parent. They feel its unfair, which in a way it is because there are alot of unfit parents out there that just keep on having babies and not care and here you have caring woman dying to have a Baby but cant. My advice to them please dont be Mad instead adopt a child that needs a family.

because the teen moms can have babies and they can't maybe?
maybe because sometimes (and i do not endorse teen pregnancy one bit) but younger moms do have an advantage because hey will be young enough to be able to enjoy their kids...not be too old to play with them.

Oh yes I am sooo jealous. I wish I could have thrown the best years of my life away--NOT!!

I'm happy I waited. I got to have a lot of fun during my teens and twenties.
