Well, I got my first baby's ears done when she was 10 months old, and let me tell you I will NEVER do it again! Her ears got so infected around 4 months after she got them done, and just out of nowhere she developed a huge blood blister filled with pus and blood on the back of her ear....I had to take her to the dr and they had to lance it and remove the earring....NEVER in my life have I ever thought that I would have to do something like that to my child! I have 3 girls now and I will not pierce their ears. My oldest daughter's ears have also grown and the earring hole has moved. It looks bad and she will have that forever. All because of my stupidity and thinking it looked cute!

(And just to add, I did everything that I was told to do, I cleaned and turned them once in the morning and once at night (with the recommended cleaner), did not remove them at all, she didn't bother them. I did everything right.)

If you are going to get it done do it soon. The younger they are the less chance that they will play with them and lose the earrings, when you get it done young, they don't even seem to notice that the earrings are there. I have 3 girls I had their ears pierced at 2 and 3 months. You can have it done at Wal Mart, some stores in the mall or a tattoo shop. Some places (like tattoo shops need to see their shot records)

I had my daughters done at six months. If you do it now, she will not pull/ play with her ears as much as she will in a few months time. If you do not do it now, you should wait till she is 4-5 years old and you can tell her not to touch her ears while they are healing.

I'm 24 and mine were done when I was about 2 or 3 months old. I don't like to see girls without some type of earring. I have to have studs on all the time. Plus, it won't hurt right now, she'll cry because of the noise the gun makes.

when i was little (back 20+ years ago) my mom had it done for me immediately...i was barely a month old. but i think most places would say around 6 months to a year. i don't really know of anywhere that would do it for anyone younger than 6 months.

i had my babys ears pierced when she was closer to 1 yr. since a lot of doctors told me that its not right to do it when they r much younger since the ears r still growing so the earholes go wonky sometimes! best when she is older, but unfortunately though, when she is older, it is going to then hurt more.
