I can see your point but some other issues and viewpoints you take into consideration
Chantelle was being honest, now compare it with how many celebrities got free things and said nothing.....maybe they thought they deserved them....Chantelle is saying I am getting goodies for being me, that is being honest with the public
Celebrities fill out a form with their manager once a year stating their favorite soda, car, shoes, vacation spot, etc.......a company passes this info on to the manufactures......but if your image does not fit the companies....no gift....even if they use product.
Companies give this stuff away because people like to buy things they attach with their favorite persons......the award shows tell you who made the clothing, jewelry......Snoop wears a new pair of sunglasses and the the company sells thousands that week.
Michael Jordan has sold millions of shoes over 20 years.........but he got a cut.....and that is proper....Snoop got free pair of sunglasses but the company sold thousands....who made the money.....if you cause something to be sold should not get a cut.
Many celebrities like Jordan do not take the free and only deals with paid sponsors
The freebies are nice...but if your seen wearing, driving, or using a product out in the public....you helping to promote it....I think paying them is better.....cause they influence what they buy...and they we would be more choosy.......in what they promote
That magazine with the cover TOMKAT sells big time
It why celebrities donate tons of their time to charities and because..they attract people's attention and it is giving something back for free....so many celebrities give back this way
Oprah makes of point of doing give aways on her show when products or artist promote Cd's movies, and books....so she shares the freebies.....other shows now do it
Great observation on picking up an issue not well understood!

Yes it does seem very hard when there are so many other people who are more deserving. But take comfort in the fact that she only gets this because she is a `celebrity` and she does have to pay income tax on the value of all the freebies she is given. This can be difficult because when a person is paid in `goods, it means that they do not have much actual cash. The inland revenue insists that we pay our taxes with money, not motor cars. So invariably people like her will have to sell the freebies for a fraction of their worth, just so that the income tax can be paid. At least we mortals have it deducted from our wage packets and we don`t have to sell our favourite posses ions to pay it.

Chantelle is just being paid by the company who send her these goods to advertise their company in the magazine article.
As she is not in anything on the television and has not got a real job she earns money by plugging consumer goods. So basically it's her job. Anyway just because she received a new car and other stuff doesn't mean she is rich. They did a cribs special on her and her house was appalling.

As the famous quote once said, 'there's no such thing as a free lunch'. This sad, deluded little person will soon find out that she's being exploited, even if it all seems rosy at the moment. Manufacturers have an ulterior motive behind most things they do, and if they think they are going to get exposure from association with this brain dead bint, they are obviously appealing to a completely different target audience than me.

Like it or not, if she's in Heat magazine wearing certain things or carrying a certain bag, this will generate business for them. If Chantelle gets a lot, think what Victoria Beckham or Sienna Millar get for free!

It is a tax fiddle that needs to be clamped down on. Celebs get 'goodie bags' which are in the form of vouchers to avoid tax, these vouchers can take any form, i.e clothes, holidays etc. They also get 'expenses' which is another tax fiddle.
It's not right but it's a loophole in the law.

I think it is stupid to give free stuff to celebs. They can afford to buy that stuff. It should be given to people with low income levels. They are the ones that would enjoy it the most. I don't blame you for being a bit jealous.

I think a lot of celebrities when they first become famous brag about it because it is cool but it kills me that they can afford it and the rest of us are living in poverty and can't get a break for nothing.
